For the last two years, the entire world has suffered immensely from the Covid pandemic. This has had a major impact on our health, economy, social life, and beyond. Most importantly, this has been a tragedy for the world as millions of lives have been lost. Healthcare professionals have worked tirelessly in hospitals and clinics to help save lives and we owe a great debt of gratitude to them.

I want to briefly highlight a group of very courageous doctors around the world who not only put their lives at risk but also their reputation in order help save patient lives through early treatment. Unfortunately, in the mainstream media, we don’t hear much about early treatment options (besides monoclonal antibodies) for Covid19. The predominant narrative is “get vaccinated” and we have disregarded any alternatives. However, for the last year and a half, there have been doctors around the world who have discovered effective and safe early treatment protocols to not only keep their patients out of the hospital but also to help them get better quickly. This is not anecdotal evidence but rather many studies have been published in scientific journals. Have you heard about these in the mainstream media? Most likely not, unfortunately.  Not only was this not recognized in the news but many doctors who used safe and effective early treatment options lost their jobs due to not following “hospital procotols” and were silenced on social media platforms for wanting to share this information with others to benefit.  

One such group that has been at the forefront of leading the early treatment campaign has been the FLCCC (Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care) Alliance started by a group of distinguished Pulmonary & Critical Care Specialists such as Dr. Paul Marik & Dr. Pierre Kory. One of the primary tools to fight Covid19 infection is a repurposed drug called “Ivermectin”. 

Ivermectin was first discovered in 1975 and approved for human use in 1987. It has received FDA approval for its use against parasites.  It is also included in WHO’s List of Essential Medicines. In 2015, the scientists were rewarded the Nobel Prize for it’s discovery. Ivermectin has been known to be a safe drug historical. Since 2020, physicians around the world have done numerous published studies for the treatment of Covid19 using Ivermectin. Additionally, many systematic reviews have also been published highlighting its efficacy in reducing the risk of death and hospitalizations. Ivermectin is one of several safe and effective repurposed drugs that have been used in the treatment of Covid19. The media has touted this as “dangerous” and as “horse medicine” but a new Japanese study showed that Ivermectin has antiviral effects against Omicron and other variants.
